Annual AccountsStrong accountancy gives more than a set of accounts. Understand the financial position, strengthen performance and know where the business is heading. Treated well, it is far more than a year-end exercise.
Accurate accountancy explained clearly, underpinned by specialist tax expertise. The real value is in the information behind the numbers and how it’s used.
The numbers shouldn’t just tell you what happened. They should help you decide what happens next.
ImageAccounts & corporation tax, to be added
For most private companies, accounts are filed at Companies House within 9 months of your year-end, the corporation tax is payable 9 months and one day after year-end, and the CT600 return is filed within 12 months. Leaving it to the deadline removes any chance to plan the bill. We prepare early so you know the number in time to do something about it.
Corporation tax is more than filing a return. The decisions made throughout the year can affect how much tax the business ultimately pays.
Reliefs, allowances and planning opportunities can all improve the tax position, particularly when considered before the year end.
The earlier tax is considered, the more options there are.
Too many companies get their accounts weeks before the deadline, with a tax bill that’s a surprise and no explanation of how it was reached or how to reduce it next year. By then it’s too late to do anything. Accounts should be a decision-making tool, not a compliance afterthought.
Overseas customers, employees, directors, entities or transactions can all bring additional tax and reporting considerations. With accountancy and international tax expertise under one roof, the wider cross-border position can be considered alongside the day-to-day numbers as the business grows.
